Fingal Bay Holiday Park is a caravan park just over an hour from Newcastle. The Port Stephens area host many caravan parks and is great for Newcastle residents as it’s close enough to duck away for the weekend.  We ventured up to Fingal Bay holiday park over the Easter break with our families and stayed for 7 nights enjoying the facilities the park had to offer.

With so much on-site we didn’t have to venture far to entertain the kids.  Our days were spent at the playground, swimming pool which also had a toddler pool, bike riding, or the beach across the road from the park. Everything and anything to wear the kids out each day and compact the chocolate high. We ventured out to the Twilight Markets on the weekend, and the kids filled up on fairy floss and icey cups and enjoyed a boogie with the musician.   There is so much to do in the Port Stephens area including; Mount Tomaree climb, oak vale farm, Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary, dolphin cruises, go karts, putt putt golf and the toboggan run but we found we had everything in the park to keep the kids entertained.

It is a huge park with a mix of onsite vans, caravan/tent sites, and ensuite sites. The site was very generous with our own picnic table and bbq and the park also has a camp kitchen with a games room.

It is in a great spot with a service station, grocer and fish and chip shop around the corner or a 10 minute drive into town for everything else you might need. For around $80 a night, there wasn’t much to complain about.
