BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Noosa

3rd Aug 2022

Ingenia Holidays Noosa is about 15 minutes to Noosa Main Beach and Hastings Street and 7 minutes to Noosa Marina.

The park itself has a great variety of facilities including a lagoon style pool kids pool as well as a second pool, jumping pillow, games room with pool table and free Nintendo Switch which was of course was a hit with our boys.

The outdoor cinema was a bit of a novelty for us and on various nights of the week they would show movies or some sporting event on the big screen, all you have to do is BYO camping chairs.

We also enjoyed the convenience of the cute little onsite Pizza van (open Wednesday and Fridays nights) and good value fish & chips shop, on the days we didn’t feel like cooking.

There are decent sized slab sites including some for big rigs.

Our recommendation would be to request a site away from the road sides, as there are two busy roads that the park is located on and major road works are in progress at the intersection making it quite noisy.

With so many things to do and see around Noosa and the Noosa Hinterland we easily kept ourselves entertained.

Here are just a few of the activities we enjoyed:

  • Weekly growers and artisan markets (Visit Sunshine Coast website lists all the markets on in the region) but Eumundi is probably the largest and most well known. You can literally spend hours eating and shopping your way through these unique markets.
  • Exploring the Noosa Botanical Gardens – this the perfect spot to escape the bustle on the weekend. When the heart of Noosa gets really busy you can still almost have the gardens to yourself
  • Stand up paddle-boarding on the Noosa River – we used our own SUP, but you can also hire one and there are off-leash dog friendly beaches to take your pooch for a swim
  • Taking the Coastal Walk in Noosa National Park – Start the walk with the information boards that tell the history and indigenous significance of the area. Following the path there are beautiful coastal views, we spotted turtles and dolphins, but also keep your eyes peeled for koalas and in season whales!

Some other points of interest is the Boiling Pot, Dolphin Point and finding the tidal pools called the “Fairy Pools

Mt Tinbeerwah Lookout – Only a short drive from the BIG4 Ingenia Noosa Holiday Park this lookout gives you 360° views from the summit all the way from Lake McDonald, Noosa, the Hinterland, Noosa River and to Mt Coolum. The best part is that you can drive almost to the top, and then it is just a 10-15 minute easy walk to the top.

Staying the BIG4 Ingenia Noosa Holiday Park put us in a nice central location to get out and about exploring the Noosa area and hinterland but wasn’t within walking distance of anything.

If you do want to head into the heart of Noosa, like Hastings “eat” street or the National Park and beach, its a good idea to head out early to grab a parking spot or catch the free weekend bus instead.
